Environmental Health oversees the construction, maintenance, use, and occupancy of privately-owned and -operated employee housing facilities providing housing for five or more employees to assure their health, safety and general welfare.
This program is established to ensure compliance with minimum standards of habitation for labor camps as specified in the State Employee Housing Act. Permitted facilities are inspected prior to and during occupancy on a routine and complaint basis. The State Department of Housing and Community Development audits the Environmental Health inspection program annually to verify that all employee housing facilities meet the minimum standards of the law.
Those applying for employee housing, must use this application.
